Two months ago Leila was on her way to Peru. She went to Peru to help Dr Hafez the leader of the excavation team in Peru.

She went to Peru to take part in لكي تشارك in the UNESCO Exchange Programme.
Her sister Samira was giving her a lift توصيلة to the airport.
1- Work in Peru العمل في بيرو
a- The Incas were tough because they lived at high altitudes.
الانكاس كانوا أقوياء لأنهم عاشوا في المرتفعات العالية.
b- The Incas didn't have any writing, yet they controlled a huge empire.
لم يكن الإنكاس يعرفون الكتابة ومع هذا حكموا إمبراطورية ضخمة.
c- The Incas conquered the Chimu who were famous for their gold and silver work.
الانكاس غزوا شعوب التشيمو الذين كانوا مشهورين بأعمال الذهب والفضة.
2- The things Leila took to Dr Hafez:
Leila took Dr Hafez a small laser machine and details of a new technique (developed by the department of archaeology in Cairo University).
أخذت ليلى معها جهاز الليزر الصغير وتفاصيل تقنيات جديدة ثم تطويرها بواسطة قسم الآثار في جامعة القاهرة.
Leila didn't tell Samira much about the small laser machine. She wanted to keep it secret to be the first to use it).
أرادت ليلى أن تحفظ سر جهاز الليزر ليكونوا (هي وحافظ) أول من يستخدمونه.
3- The two sisters, Leila and Samira:
The two sisters, Leila and Samira, were different .مختلفين Samira was funny but Leila was serious and worried about everything.
سميرة كانت مرحة ولكن ليلى كانت جادة وتقلق على أي شيء.
Samira was worried about Leila who was going to work at high mountains. She asked Leila to tell Dr Hafez to take care of her.
Samira was a reporter مراسلة صحفية on one of Cairo newspapers. She is always looking for good articles for her paper.
