Although Martin was born in South Africa, he had an American passport.
He gave Leila much more attention when he knew that she was an archaeologist.

Leila went on telling Martin more information about herself. She told him that:-

2. She decided to study (take up) archaeology because she was greatly affected by Dr Hafez who was an old friend of her family.</BLOCKQUOTE>
قررت ليلى دراسة الآثار لأنها تأثرت كثيرًا بالدكتور حافظ الذي كان صديق قديم لأسرتها.

3. Leila decided to study archaeology in Rome (Italy), not in Cairo, because if she studied archaeology in Cairo, people would say that Dr Hafez gave her special treatment.</BLOCKQUOTE>
لو أنها درست في القاهرة سيقول الناس أن دكتور حافظ قد منحها معاملة خاصة (ساعدها).

4. Leila worked with Dr Hafez in the valley of Nobles in Luxor where they discovered Sennofer tomb.
- Suddenly, Leila decided not to speak more than that because Martin asked her a lot of questions.</BLOCKQUOTE>
قررت ليلى ألا تتحدث أكثر من ذلك لأن مارتن سألها كثيرًا من الأسئلة.

- Leila slept for a while. When she woke up, she saw the man searching the pocket in front of her seat.</BLOCKQUOTE>
نامت ليلى بعض الوقت وعندما استيقظت رأت الرجل يفتش في الأوراق.

- He said he was looking for the in-flight magazine because he didn't find his.
- Leila suspected (doubted) Martin at that moment.
- Leila was nervous when the plane landed at Lima Airport.
- Dr Hafez welcomed Leila very much but he suspected Martin.He thought he had seen the man before, but Martin denied.
- Leila and Dr hurried to catch Cuzco plane.</BLOCKQUOTE>
